Maria Jane Dog Photography is very excited to be a nominated professional photographer taking part in this national competition with cash prizes for the winners!
To take part, all you have to do is book an outdoor dog portrait session with me and, for just a £10 fee which supports doggy charities, your favourite image of your handsome or pretty pooch will be entered into the National Dog Portrait Awards 2019.
This competition entry can be part of a limited-edition 20 minute mini-shoot at a pre-set location and time (three to five images to choose from), or you can upgrade to a 90 minute signature session (25 to 30 images to choose from) with a wider variety of poses. The mini shoot is in exchange for the £10 entry fee, and the signature shoot is £95 but includes a £50 product credit if you enter.
The next mini-shoot date will be held at a dog training enclosure, Bullcliffe Farm, WF4 4JN - which is just off Denby Dale Road down the track opposite the paintball centre - on:
There is also a limited number of slots are also available on Thursday evenings in Wakefield. Full-length signature shoots at are dates and times to suit you, and can be at alternative locations.
Following your photoshoot, you will then come back to visit me at a pre-booked slot at Horbury’s premier Dog Grooming Salon Debonaire Dogs to see your images on a pre-prepared digital slide show; this is when you choose the one you’d like them to submit for the competition, and pay your £10 entry fee. You can also pick any images that you’d like to buy as wall art or prints, but there’s no obligation to purchase (print packages start at £195). These viewing days tend to be held on the first Sunday of the month.
Show us what your dog is made of and not only could you could be in with a chance to win a fantastic cash prize and an awesome piece of wall art. You will be helping to make a massive difference to some very worthy dog charities at the same time!
If you have any question, or can't make any of those dates but would still like to take part, you can also get in touch through the 'contact' tab in the website menu above. If you prefer, you can also email firstname.lastname@example.org - or telephone 07707 467061.
For mini-sessions, you’ll need to pay a £20 deposit, but this is fully refundable at your viewing appointment. We can discuss beforehand what kind of portrait you have in mind. You can join your dog in the photo if you like, but it has to be a portrait of your dog alone that is entered for the competition.
I have more than one amazing dog, can I enter them all?
Yes! You can only enter each dog once, but you can enter as many dogs as you like. Each new entry is subject to the £10 entry fee and only one dog must be on the images submitted to the competition. I am more than happy to photography two dogs during one sitting if you wish.
Can I upgrade to a 90 minute signature shoot?
Yes! - Whilst both mini-shoots and signature shoots provide excellent quality, my signature shoots offer you a wider variety of images, poses and backdrops to choose from. These signature shoots can also take place at weekends or early evening when the light is at its best, at an alternative location and timing we choose together to suit you and your dog. Then, as part of this competition special offer, if you upgrade to a signature shoot I will pay the donation fee for you and you will receive a complimentary £50 wall art credit for use at your viewing and ordering appointment. You will also benefit from my free no obligation wall art design service where I can show you an image of your wall art to scale on a digital image of your own wall - to try before you buy and help you to decide. Wall art starts from £245 for a museum grade hand-crafted canvas designed to never warp of twist made from inks guaranteed to last over 100 years.
Where is the small print?
By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You will also be asked to sign a Maria Jane Dog Photography session agreement before the photoshoot begins.
Please note I only offer a limited number of mini sessions each year. Therefore, these limited-edition sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis - so please book early to avoid disappointment.
